What is Bone marrow?

Bone marrow is part of bone which produce blood cells (Red Blood Cells , White Blood Cells and Platelets). Practically it’s a factory which is working 24x7 to produce blood.

Bone marrow contains mainly Haematopoietic Stem cell (Mother cell) which gives rise various blood cell and it is supported mesenchymal stem cells which allows stem cells to home-in the bone marrow.

Function of bone marrow is very essential to maintain normal blood counts in body. Any dysfunction of bone marrow results in abnormal blood counts and generally reflects in CBC (Complete Blood Count) report.
